Position Overview: The Financial Reporting Analyst / Senior Accountant will play a critical role in supporting our clients' financial reporting and compliance needs.
This role involves preparing financial statements, assisting with IPO planning, and providing insights and recommendations on complex accounting issues.
The successful candidate will have experience in public company reporting, particularly with small to mid-sized businesses, and will be comfortable working in a dynamic, client-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities: Financial Reporting and Compliance: Assist clients in meeting their financial reporting requirements, including drafting annual and quarterly financial statements and the accompanying Management Discussion & Analysis.
Contribute to IPO planning and prospectus preparation.
Research and interpret accounting policies, providing recommendations based on the latest standards and regulations.
Accounting and Financial Management: Assist with ERP implementation, cost accounting, budgeting, and financial projections.
Coordinate and assist with client valuations.
Handle complex IFRS accounting issues, particularly those related to debt and equity financing transactions.
Client and Team Collaboration: Work directly with clients to provide financial reporting support and build strong working relationships.
Collaborate with a team of designated professionals to ensure high-quality financial deliverables.
Qualifications: Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) or foreign equivalent.
Experience in public company auditing and/or financial reporting, particularly with small to mid-sized businesses.
Strong understanding of IFRS, especially in complex areas such as debt and equity financing.
Experience in the mining sector is preferred.
Ability to independently research accounting standards and provide clear guidance.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with clients.
Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and familiarity with ERP systems.
Nice-to-Haves: Experience working with public companies in the mining sector.
Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
Ability to work independently in an entrepreneurial environment while being a supportive team member.
