The Financial Manager will be directly involved in the company's European activities and will be primarily responsible for supporting and executing the financial and administrative justification of European projects as well as private contracts, under the supervision of the company's CEO and coordinators.
More information about the vacancy The candidate will be specifically responsible for the following tasks:
Preparation and presentation of financial reports of the company's European projects (around 20 projects), including personnel costs, travel, and other costs arising from the projects.
Classification of the necessary information and contact with the coordinators and financial departments of the project coordinating entities.
Guidance and supervision of the accounting and billing department for the correct allocation and justification of project expenses.
Preparation of annual and project-based external economic audits.
Regulatory compliance of European programs: ensuring compliance with all European financial regulations and standards applicable to projects, as well as preparing and reporting for audits and regulatory reviews.
Preparation of periodic reports for the coordination and management board of LOMARTOV on the financial situation of European projects.
Elaboration of recommendations for the optimisation of resources: identify opportunities to optimise the use of financial resources and improve operational efficiency in the implementation of European projects.
OTHER KEY REQUIREMENTS/EXPERIENCE:
At least 5 years of professional experience as a manager/financial/administrative assistant of European projects or in a similar equivalent position.
Proven experience in accounting and financial auditing. At least 5 years.
It is mandatory to have an advanced knowledge in the justification of European projects and audits.
Experience in Horizon Europe, H2020 and other European programmes such as Interreg EU o LIFE+.
Experience in administrative proposals and project management.
Excellent level of Spanish and English (C1/C2 level in both languages).
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Bachelor's and master's degrees in the field of economics and finance (e.g. Economics, Business Administration and Management, International Business Economics, Politics and Economics, European Project Management).
Analytical capacity for the optimization of resources in research and development projects.
Great ability to work in a multidisciplinary environment and ability to adapt to different sectors.
Ready to take on new challenges, able to work under pressure and accustomed to EU deadlines, ability to work effectively as a team member, flexibility and high motivation.
