Financial Director

Leading FMCG Company is seeking a Financial Director based in Barcelona to supervise operations in several countries, providing support to the corporate HQ.Responsibilities: Develop and implement financial strategies, policies and procedures, to optimize the company's financial performance.Manage all financial operations including accounting, financial reporting, planning, budgeting and forecasting processes, tax compliance, audits and risk management.Monitor and analyze financial metrics and KPIs to identify trends and areas for improvement.Implement dashboards, reporting tools, and analysis to support and assist the Management in decision-making while providing strategic financial advice and guidance to senior management to mitigate the company's financial risks, including market, credit, and liquidity risks.Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.Supervise cash flow management, surplus cash investment, and operations financing.Manage relationships with banks, investors, auditors, and other external stakeholders.Ensure compliance with local and international financial regulations and reporting standards.Manage a team of financial and accountancy professionals and provide leadership, guidance, and support while fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement, reinforcing the team spirit.Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.At least 10 years of experience in a senior financial leadership role, with a track record of success in financial management, preferably with experience in FMCG, and diverse company types (small-size, multinational, family-owned, start-up...)Attention to detail, strong reporting skills, and business acumen.Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial analysis, and reporting standards.Fluency in English and Spanish.
Other languages would be a plus.
