With a skilled, knowledgeable, and motivated team, the company is committed to exceeding our customers' expectations in delivering cost-effective solutions to improve patient outcomes.The Position: The Financial Data Analyst works closely with the Finance team to generate required reports on a regular basis that serve as summary information for various departments within the company. The role is responsible for identifying relevant insights and compiling analytical reports that enable employees to make good business decisions. The role is also responsible for delivering, maintaining, troubleshooting, and enhancing financial reporting functionality. The position focuses on transactional data and the use of the reporting systems from that transactional data.Key Responsibilities:Developing and implementing data analyses, data collection systems, and other strategies.Managing master data, including creation, updates, and deletion.Managing users within Dynamics Great Plains.Acquiring data from primary or secondary data sources and maintaining databases.Identifying, analyzing, and interpreting trends or patterns in complex data sets.Working with management to prioritize business information needs.Ensuring sales and financial reports are prepared to meet deadlines and on an as-needed basis.Providing support with financial reporting related to month-end and quarter-end.Preparing and distributing monthly reports on vendor rebates and managing to claim these rebates with our vendors.Ensuring period-end procedures and routines are run.Ensuring integrity of database and inventory reports.Ensuring end-users understand their reporting needs.Providing practical reporting change recommendations.Acting as a resource person for internal staff.Ensuring communication is effective and informative regarding issues that may affect the quality of service or products.Cooperating with special projects as required.Requirements, Qualifications & Skills:Post-secondary degree in Computer Sciences, Finance, Mathematics, or equivalent.Minimum five (5) years experience with computer reporting tools.Work experience as a Data Analyst is an asset.Advanced knowledge of Dynamics Great Plains would be an asset.Strong interpersonal skills.Solid written and verbal communication skills.High attention to detail.Demonstrated ability to use accounting software.Advanced Excel knowledge, power pivot, and pivot tables.General accounting knowledge.Working Conditions:The hybrid set, Office/Remote. Occasional interruptions.
