Financial Crime Analyst Country: Spain Financial Crime Analyst at our Risk & Compliance team, developing all the FCC controls and acting as second line of defence.
PagoNxt Payments Services is a company wholly owned by Santander that is launching digital solutions to support international activities of companies and FIs (clients of SAN Units and open market).
Main Responsibilities: Support the development of the second line for managing Financial Crime Compliance (FCC) risks.
Ensure that FCC compliance framework activity is completed to the highest standard (including mapping of key local regulations, delivery of day-to-day compliance advice, development of KPIs, and support in completion of FCC business risk assessments).
Provide advice and guidance to internal stakeholders across the business, and also provide an end-to-end view of FCC risk-profile.
Perform quality control checks on KYC/CDD, Screening, and Transaction Monitoring process and tools.
Conduct monthly Regulatory Reporting (FTF & DMO).
Stay updated on changes to the country AML/CFT regulatory landscape and international best practices.
Assist in internal and external FCC Audits.
Assist the MLRO with daily operations and investigations of suspicious activities.
Key Internal Counterparties: CDO-IT, Products and Operations, 1LOD FCC Risks teams (corporation and countries, especially Control, Oversight, and Regulators relations teams) Education: Engineering, Mathematics, Economics, Business Administration, Law, Finance, or other relevant areas.
ICAMS, ICA or any other Financial Crime Qualification will be a plus.
Knowledge: English C1 Financial Crime Compliance expertise, especially Correspondent Relationships, Payments, and PSD2 services (AISP, PISP).
Technology and digital solutions.
Local Reporting.
Experience: 5+ years of experience in Financial Crime Compliance for Payments/Correspondent Relationships.
International experience.
Experience in digital/fintech environments will be valuable.
