Job Description
CubeMatch is looking for a skilled Financial Controller with 7-10 years of experience in financial management, accounting, or controlling within the banking or financial services industry. The ideal candidate will have proven expertise in managing the financial aspects of large-scale IT or system implementation projects, particularly core banking systems. This role requires strong skills in budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and reporting to support project planning and control.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee the financial aspects of large-scale IT or system implementation projects, ensuring accurate budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to support project planning and control.
Prepare and present comprehensive financial reports, including variance analysis, to stakeholders, ensuring clarity and transparency in financial status and projections.
Develop and maintain project budgets and forecasts, monitoring actual expenditures against planned budgets, and identifying and addressing variances.
Conduct detailed financial analysis to support decision-making, providing insights into financial performance, risks, and opportunities.
Ensure compliance with relevant banking regulations and financial reporting standards, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of regulatory requirements and best practices.
Collaborate with project managers, IT teams, and business units to provide financial insights and support, ensuring effective communication and alignment on financial matters.
Identify and implement improvements in financial processes and controls, enhancing the efficiency and accuracy of financial management and reporting.
Qualifications / Essential Skills & Attributes
7-10 years of experience in financial management, accounting, or controlling within the banking or financial services industry.
Proven experience in managing the financial aspects of large-scale IT or system implementation projects, particularly core banking systems.
Expertise in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to support project planning and control.
Strong skills in preparing and presenting financial reports, including variance analysis, to stakeholders.
Comprehensive understanding of banking operations, financial products, and services, as well as regulatory requirements.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to interact effectively with various stakeholders, including project managers, IT teams, and business units.
Familiarity with regulatory requirements and financial reporting standards within the banking industry.
Ability to identify and implement improvements in financial processes and controls.
