We are actively searching for a highly skilled and motivated professional to join our team in the role of Financial Controller. This position will be based in Valladolid and will entail directing and overseeing the company's accounting, budgeting, and cash flow processes. Responsibilities include the preparation of financial statements, summaries and forecasts to facilitate future business growth. This position will report directly to the company's CFO.
Key Tasks & Responsibilities:
The role will be responsible for, among other duties:
Financial Planning and Analysis
Cash Flow Management
Audit Compliance
Accounting.
Economic justifications
Human Resources
Tax Compliance
Cost Control
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in finance, accounting, or a related field. MBA or CPA designation is highly preferred.
Proven experience of more than 3 yearsexperience filling similar positions, with a hands-on approach to work and a can doattitude. Experience in the biotechnology industry is an advantage.
Experience in fundraising both from private and government institutions together with knowledge of working with different fiscal government agencies.
Strong knowledge of financial regulations, reporting standards, and industry-specific financial practices.
High energy level and a sense of urgency coupled with strong management and analytical skills.
Excellent communication skills and a high focus on fostering teamwork are essential.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment and to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Ability to travel as needed.
Fluent in English (written and spoken)
