Financial ControllerReports To: (Commercial) DirectorJob Summary: The Financial Controller will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of our manufacturing facility.
They will play a crucial role in managing financial activities, monitoring costs, analyzing financial data, and providing strategic recommendations to support the achievement of the company's financial goals.
The Financial Controller will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and senior management to drive financial performance, ensure compliance with regulations, and optimize financial processes.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and manage the financial reporting and budgeting processes for the manufacturing facility.Monitor and analyze financial performance, prepare financial statements, and provide insights to senior management on key financial metrics.Develop and implement effective financial controls, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance and mitigate financial risks.Collaborate with department heads to develop and manage annual budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis.Provide financial guidance and support for decision-making processes related to pricing, cost reduction initiatives, and investment opportunities.Oversee inventory management, including monitoring inventory levels, conducting periodic audits, and ensuring accurate costing.Manage cash flow, credit, and working capital, optimizing resource allocation and maintaining strong relationships with financial institutions.Drive cost analysis and optimization efforts across the manufacturing facility to identify areas for cost reduction and process improvements.Lead the financial planning and analysis (FPA) function, providing accurate and timely financial information to support strategic business decisions.Coordinate and liaise with internal and external auditors for financial audits, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.Stay updated on industry trends, changes in accounting regulations, and best financial operations.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
CPA or CMA certification is preferred.Proven experience as a Financial Controller or a similar financial management role within a manufacturing environment.Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial analysis, and reporting.Proficiency in financial management software and ERP systems.
Experience with manufacturing-specific systems (e.g., MRP, MES) is a plus.Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide strategic insights.
