Stahls TPT, a manufacturing specialist in the Sports Printing sector, a subsidiary of a leading international group involved in the Custom Textile Printing market, is seeking a skilled Financial Controller with operational oversight.
This is a pivotal role that blends financial management with strategic operational input, supporting both the local business needs in Madrid and the group's broader international goals.
Key Responsibilities: Financial Management in co-operation with the Finance Manager: Oversee and manage all local financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and monthly reporting.
Prepare timely monthly financial statements in accordance with group policies and local requirements.
Manage cash flow, working capital, and banking functions to ensure financial stability and alignment with group objectives.
Work with the auditors and ensure compliance with local regulations in Spain as well as group-wide policies.
Operational Responsibilities: Work closely with leadership teams to integrate financial goals with business operations, ensuring cost efficiency and profitability in all areas of the business, while maintaining strategies that support the long-term growth plans.
Provide financial support in decision-making processes, including pricing strategies, capital investments, and resource allocation.
Analyse and report on key business performance indicators, advising on potential cost-saving initiatives and process improvements.
Assist in driving key projects that align operational activities with the group's strategic objectives, including system implementations and process optimisations.
Risk Management: Identify potential financial and operational risks, implementing appropriate mitigation strategies.
Maintain a robust internal control environment to safeguard company assets and ensure the integrity of financial reporting.
Requirements: At least 5+ years of experience in a financial controller or senior financial management role, ideally within an international environment.
Strong understanding of both Spanish financial regulations and international financial reporting standards (IFRS).
Proven experience with operational finance, including working alongside non-finance teams to influence business performance.
Excellent communication skills in English and Spanish.
Strong proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel skills.
Ability to work autonomously, managing priorities and meeting deadlines in a dynamic business environment.
