ResponsibilitiesAs the Financial Controller with Hines, you will coordinate external accountants to perform the day-to-day accounting, consolidation and oversee the financial and lender reporting of the assets whilst supporting the Finance and Asset Management team.
Assets will comprise Student Housing, BTR, Offices, Warehouses, high street retail and developments.
The successful candidate will:
Work based in MadridOversee the external accountants in reporting financial performanceReview and provide commentary on monthly performance liaising with applicable managers to ensure that all variances are investigated and explainedWork with accountants and external lenders to report Financial Covenants where neededWork with the London finance team in the development and continuous improvement of management reporting systems, processes, controls and output, to ensure they are robust and allow for the reporting of this dynamic business experiencing continued expansionWork with the Finance and Asset Management team in preparing business plans for projects and quarterly updates of the modelsEnsure that all the tax reporting (VAT and Corporation tax) and company reporting requirements are metAssist with the annual auditAd hoc financial analysis and regular forecastingDrive the annual budgeting processQualificationsThe ideal candidate will be:
