Financial Controller Job Description: Our client, a manufacturing company, is currently seeking a Controller to oversee financial operations.
The Controller will play a key role in financial planning and reporting.
Responsibilities: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the accounting department.
Lead the month-end and year-end close processes, including preparation of financial statements, balance sheet reconciliations, and variance analysis.
Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Manage the annual budgeting and forecasting process, collaborating with department heads to establish financial targets and monitor performance against goals.
Provide strategic financial analysis and insights to senior management, identifying opportunities for cost optimization, revenue enhancement, and risk mitigation.
Lead the preparation of financial reports for stakeholders, including management, board of directors, and external auditors.
Manage cash flow, treasury functions, and banking relationships to optimize liquidity and maximize returns on investments.
Ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations, including preparation and filing of corporate tax returns and coordination of tax planning strategies.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams on special projects, such as system implementations, process improvements, and strategic initiatives.
