The Role
The mission of the Operations department is to provide a service to the other departments of the company so they can achieve their goals and that we are constantly improving processes and make things easier for everyone.
The department is made up of three parts: People, Legal, and Finance & Accounting. The financial controller will be in charge of all things Finance & Accounting. You will be reporting to the VP of Operations and will have a part-time accountant reporting to you.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee the accounting process, prepare and file Financial Reporting (consolidated financial statements in accordance with IFRS).
Own monthly managerial reporting.
Prepare budgets, forecasts, business cases, and other analyses to generate insights and support management decisions.
Optimise finance-related processes (payroll, administration, consolidation, invoicing, etc.).
Manage costs and cash position.
Manage the company's share-based compensation plan.
Ensure full tax and legal compliance in the countries the company is present (UK, US, and Spain), including transfer pricing analysis and shareholder compliance.
First point of contact with company banks, auditors, lawyers, and other advisors.

Requirements
Strong academic background in finance and accounting.
3+ years of experience in Finance and/or Accounting.
Experience with most/all finance functional areas, including reporting, controlling, accounting, and tax.
Knows how to prepare and analyse financial reports and projections.
Has worked with Excel and an ERP.
Strong English communication skills (Written and verbal).
Even Better If You
Multi jurisdiction experience: IFRS / USGAAP / Plan general accounting experience.
High proficiency in Excel.
Have experience with Sage Intacct.
Experience in a start-up environment.
Fluent Spanish.
