What you'll do: As a Financial Controller for Asset Management you will manage and supervise all economic aspects of all the renewable assets in the portfolio from the development and construction phase and throughout the useful life of the projects. The main objective is to optimize CAPEX and OPEX of the projects and maximize the profit of the plants. This person will be in charge of the fulfillment of the obligations of the financing contracts coordinating all the necessary departments. Location : Madrid, Spain Responsibilities : Responsible for compliance with the obligations in the financing contracts for renewable projects. Monitoring the obligations of the provisions with the financing bank and coordinating all departments to meet deadlines Coordinating the client's and lenders' advisors, as well as other internal teams that have to contribute to these processes. Coordinating internal providers of inputs (e.g. financial controllers, engineers, PPA teams) to consolidate information on asset performance for timely lender reporting. Control and optimize CAPEX and OPEX of projects. Internal and External Reporting (investors, auditors and lenders). Project budget update: variation from the latest version of the project budget, identification of the reason and potential impact on the gross margin. Support the preparation of the Annual Budget. Participate in all Operation and Business weekly meetings to fully understand the project status, track main variation affecting the cash flow and the impact in the cost and the margin, contractual requirements and financial responsibilities. Supervise monthly financial statements, balance account reconciliation and P&L analysis. Tax compliance. Proactively identify, prioritize, and address opportunities to standardize processes. Requirements : Bachelor's degree in business management and administration or similar discipline. Business English and Spanish. Professional experience in multicultural environments is a plus. Ability to act on their own initiative after receiving appropriate direction. Ability to produce high quality written report drafts. A good balance of commercial, business and technical skills.
