Job Description:
Supervise the preparation of financial statements, project financial reports, and cost reports.
Ensure timely submission of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
Analyze financial data and provide recommendations to management for decision-making.
Monitor cash flow and fund management for various construction projects.
Oversee project costing and ensure that costs are within the approved budget.
Assist in the development of the company's annual budget.
Monitor project-specific budgets and financial forecasts.
Conduct variance analysis between actual expenditures and budgets, providing explanations for deviations.
Implement and enforce internal financial controls and procedures.
Ensure compliance with Philippine tax regulations, labor laws, and other statutory requirements.
Coordinate with external auditors during annual audits and ensure all audit requirements are met.
Work closely with the project management team to ensure that financial practices align with project timelines and budgets.
Monitor and review all construction project expenses to ensure accurate and timely accounting.
Evaluate and approve construction contracts and agreements from a financial perspective.
Manage disbursements to suppliers, contractors, and other stakeholders.
Ensure proper documentation and recording of financial transactions.
Supervise and mentor finance staff, ensuring professional growth and adherence to company policies.
Assist in training team members on financial management systems and tools.
Delegate tasks efficiently to meet reporting deadlines.
Collaborate with other departments, including procurement, project management, and HR, to ensure the financial success of construction projects.
Participate in project planning meetings to provide financial insights.
Minimum Requirements:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or any related field.
Experience: At least 2 years experience as Supervisor in related field.
Computer Skills: Proficiency in using accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Excel) and familiarity with spreadsheet and database applications.
Attention to Detail: The ability to accurately process and record financial data is crucial.
Organizational Skills: Good organizational skills to maintain orderly financial records and documents.
Communication: Effective communication skills to interact with colleagues, vendors, and clients.
Analytical Skills: Basic analytical skills to identify and rectify discrepancies in financial records.
Ethics: A strong commitment to ethical behavior and maintaining the confidentiality of financial information.
