The Finance Specialist will be responsible for controlling, overseeing daily operations and executing on projects. The ideal candidate will have experience in Controlling, Account Receivables and Accounts Payable, a solid understanding of accounting principles, and excellent communication abilities. If gaining experience at a venture capital-backed company whose mission is to empower the next generation of scientists excites you, read on!This person must be based in Spain to be considered for this role.Responsibilities Review of journal entries and vendor invoicesRun month end with finance team and perform review of all accountsPerform monthly variance analysis to identify missing items/out-of-the-normal spending and trendsImprove and maintain compliance areas, including coordinating with external partners (tax, VAT, transfer pricing)Perform monthly consolidation (NetSuite) and reconciliation of intercompany accountsImprove and optimize finance processes and identify opportunities for improvementPrepare and review audit documentation and assist with the annual audit processAd hoc requests and projects (e.G. NetSuite optimization, process automation and enhancing of general documentation)Analyze and integrate potential acquired companiesCompetencies & Skills Minimum Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Data Analytics or similar.5+ years of experience in Controlling, AR, AP and/or RevenueCritical Thinking and highly motivatedNetSuite, Excel, and Google SheetsExperience with working in multinational companies (various regulatory frameworks and foreign currencies)Exceptional analytical skills coupled with a solid understanding of business dynamicsStrong communications skills and ability to work cross-functionally and with the senior leadership teamVerbal and written fluency in EnglishProven track record of delivering on commitments, and working closely & effectively with peers and leaders outside of the Finance teamWhy Labster We are Labster.
