Our rapid growth across multiple countries has created the opportunity for a proactive Finance Manager to join us to lead the Accounts Payable/Receivable operations team from our Glasgow office.
Reporting directly to Nick Blake, our Group Finance Director, you will lead and develop our talented finance operations team to build an efficient and collaborative function.

What you'll doYou will make an impact and add value by ensuring payments and receipts are processed with speed and accuracy to provide a rapid and high-quality service to our customers both inside and outside of the business. You will improve processes, procedures, and systems to accommodate and support ever-increasing volume, whilst collaborating with colleagues across the business to streamline the customer journey from a Finance perspective.
As finance manager you will support the Group Financial Controller and focus on a number of key deliverables:
Leading and supporting the AP/AR operations team, engaging, motivating, evaluating and developing their financial, practical and teamwork skills.Developing systems and processes that reduce the administration of payments and manual interventions required.Ensuring guest payment processes and commercial payment terms are optimised to accommodate revenue growth and the Customer journey.Developing systems, processes, training and communication that reduce the volume of financial or transactional queries, dealing with root cause, while ensuring a swift response and resolution.Ensuring a robust control framework for finance which continues to build on best practices, continually improving systems to meet evolving organisational needs, technological opportunities and scaling for growth.What you'll bringDemonstrable experience managing an AP/AR team in a fast-paced high-volume environment. With systems and process knowledge and skills to support and lead change programmes. Accounting knowledge focused around financial management, financial controls and reporting upon them. Strong people management skills, able to inspire and motivate with a clear sense of purpose. Strong multi-financial system skills, desirable with Oracle, and highly computer literate. Detail-oriented and able to identify and resolve issues and errors. Ability to develop team goals and objectives, to prioritise workload and work to deadlines both personally and with the team to achieve those goals. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, an empathetic listener and persuasive speaker. Change skills that involve communicating the need for change, ensuring stakeholders are engaged with it.
Not essential, it would be a bonus if you have: Previous experience in the Travel industry.Excellent Excel and other MS systems skills with systems and control environment experience using Oracle Net Suite.The knowledge and skills we've listed represent "the perfect candidate".
