Position Overview Our client, a prominent company in the manufacturing sector, is seeking a Financial Manager to join their team.
The selected candidate will be based in Girona, Spain , and will play a key role in supporting the current Finance Director, who is approaching retirement.
This role is designed to provide a gradual transition, ensuring that the new Financial Manager acquires the necessary knowledge and skills to eventually step into a leadership role within the finance department.
Key Responsibilities Support the Finance Director in daily financial operations, including financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
Oversee and coordinate IT requirements within the finance department, working closely with the company's IT specialists to ensure systems are functioning optimally.
Note that this is not a technical role, but a coordination position to manage the financial department's digital needs.
Manage cash flow, cost control, and financial analysis to ensure the financial health of the company.
Participate in the preparation and presentation of financial reports for the company's senior management team.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
Support the finance team in the implementation and optimization of financial tools and software.
Requirements: Requirements Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
Fluent English (essential for internal and external communication) and a high level of proficiency in Spanish.
Proven experience in financial management, ideally within a manufacturing environment.
Excellent knowledge of financial software and advanced use of MS Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Experience coordinating IT-related needs, ensuring alignment between financial goals and technical capabilities.
Proactive, detail-oriented, and eager to learn from an experienced Finance Director.
