.The Finance Manager is principally responsible for leading the accounting function and for ensuring effective controls and accurate reporting to support commercial decision-making to secure the profitability of the business.
They are also responsible for all internal operational excellence with coordination and efficiency across the customer service, installations/projects team, sales, and finance controlling functions.
This includes, but is not limited to, reporting to all Key Account customers with monthly uptime reporting, focusing on process and procedure improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
This position is also responsible for the strategic direction of the business based on their analysis and recommendations/findings of the numbers/data for the company.
Being 'hands-on' in the business to understand the operations and workflow of each department to provide clearer analysis and decision-making recommendations to the management team.Tasks:Oversee payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable functions.Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to the current finance team.Local IT support, domain/SAP accounts management.Spare parts PO price and list price control.Oversee the documentation, adherence, monitoring, and continual improvement of the internal control environment in relation to financial control and corporate group financial guidelines.Monitor cash flow and machine project progress payments.Month-end close with all balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, and WIP movements journal posting.Review and renewal of insurance policies.Develop financial models to support business activities and initiatives.Analyze operational and efficiency metrics to identify opportunities, risks, and underperformance.Provide insightful analysis and explanations regarding performance, movements and balances, and other key financial measures.Ensure statutory compliance – BAS, FBT, Payroll Tax, Workers Compensation, and superannuation lodgement.Conduct annual stocktake variance analysis, identify and prepare the recount stock items.Prepare monthly management reporting package.Prepare quarterly & annually IFRS financial reporting package.Prepare quarterly rolling forecast, annual budget, and 3-year strategies.Prepare budget presentation and year-end presentation reporting package.Liaise with external tax accountant to finalize the annual income tax return.Prepare and finalize the group internal audit process.Liaise with the external auditors to complete the group year-end audit process.Develop all tasks related to Human Resources in collaboration with the outsourced management company.Requirements:Experience in managing and mentoring a small team.5+ years' experience in a Finance Manager position.Experience in instigating and implementing process improvements and strategies that drive business profitability.Strong experience in internal control risk management.Experienced in inventory movement management and control
