As the backbone of our finance division, you will play a crucial role in shaping the financial success of our UK, Spanish, Algerian, Italian, and French entities.
About the role The position of Finance Manager is responsible for the timely and accurate reporting of all finance functions of the division across all entities.
They will be expected to work closely with and support the other members of the Finance team (Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and Financial Planning & Analysis) as well as the wider Easyfairs UK & Global team providing a service for all things financial throughout the division.
The Finance Manager will be responsible for all accounting work in the UK, Spanish, Algerian, Italian and French entities providing regular reporting to the Head of Business Services, Finance Director and HQ, ultimately culminating in year-end preparation and liaison with auditors through the annual audit.
Responsibilities of the role: As a Finance Manager at Easyfairs, you will: Oversee Payroll Services: Manage outsourced payroll services, ensuring accurate reporting, statutory compliance, and seamless collaboration with outsource partners.
Navigate Tax Compliance: Prepare and submit VAT and other tax returns, reconcile VAT control accounts, and liaise with tax authorities.
Maintain Financial Assets: Monitor and maintain bank accounts, fixed asset registers, and intercompany balances across entities.
Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Financial Planning & Analysis teams to provide comprehensive financial support across the division.
Lead Month-End Processes: Take charge of month-end processes, including management accounts, accruals, prepayments, variance analysis, and reporting to ensure timely and accurate financial insights.
Drive System Management: Manage Navision set up, closure of periods, year-end close, and liaise with HQ for system upgrades.
Audit Coordination: Act as the primary point of contact for year-end audits, preparing necessary documentation, and addressing audit queries.
Support Business Services: Provide data and support for monthly business services KPI reporting and undertake ad-hoc reporting or analysis as required.
The ideal candidate: Open to QBE (candidates qualified by experience) or part-qualified/fully qualified accountants (ACCA/CIMA/ACA) with at least one year post-qualification experience.
Demonstrates strong financial control skills, effective time management, and the ability to drive improvement changes.
Possesses experience with financial systems, preferably Navision.
Is a self-motivated, well-organised professional who thrives in an autonomous work environment.
Is results-oriented, dedicated, meticulous, and views themselves as an integral part of the finance team.
