About the Role
Boats Group is excited to announce that we're looking for a Director of Finance to lead our European Finance team.
We are seeking a driven leader with strong management and technical accounting skills who will report to the Chief Financial Officer and be responsible for managing our European accounting, finance, tax, billing, collections, sales admin, and A/P functions.
What You'll Do Team Responsibilities
Build and continuously develop a high performing European finance team, providing leadership and support.
Lead and manage the team by setting clear expectations, responsibilities, and performance goals, ensuring GAAP compliance with all financial transactions, policies, and procedures.Business Partnering Responsibilities
Own, report, and deliver the EBITDA of the business in alignment with the European management team.
Strong partnership with the European Management Team to build a high performing organization for global and local solutions with winning go-to-market strategies.
Provide recommendations on critical business decisions based on financial analysis; identify areas of high risk and discuss suggested changes with the executive team.
Sparring partner for the European Managing Director on the status/future of the business.
Partner with the European Management team on delivering a comprehensive Employees compensation strategy and cost modelling.
Support post-merger integrations of past and future acquisitions: aligning systems, tools, and processes into our Boats Group management suite and optimizing these targets' internal setup for sustainable growth.Tactical Responsibilities
Review, define, and enforce best practice accounting policies and procedures for the division.
Manage the annual budgeting process, FP&A responsibilities, organizational cash flow, and forecasting.
Prepare financial forecasts and review with key senior managers; monthly board reporting and ad-hoc reports as necessary.
Review/analyze monthly financial statements; identify trends/anomalies; research management inquiries; provide solutions to meet business needs.
Manage month-end and year-end close process for all international entities, including review of journal entries, financial statements/analyses, and ensuring all deliverables meet established deadlines.
