Position Summary As a Field Test Engineer, you'll be responsible for:
Quality assurance "end user" testing on live networksField tests Engineer, such as radio / audio performance tests and software verification on mobile devices (including GSM, GPRS, UMTS, LTE, IMS, 5G testing and Mobile Intelligent terminals, smartphones, tablets and laptops) and accessories (e.g. headset, hands-free and GPS, wearable devices)Interoperability testing with network operators and SIM Card manufacturersProviding informed feedback on interface usability and phone design conceptYou will work closely with QA and R&D Engineers in the UK, Poland, India, Vietnam & Korea to:
Discuss and provide information about defects and other issues that arise as a part of testingInterpret technical reportsAnalyze network logsConsider possible impact on marketManage test project scheduleContribute to regular progress and final project reportsKeep abreast of new features and techniques of the mobile devices and networkCreate test cases based on local test environmentValidate Voice-activated Artificial Intelligence featuresRole and Responsibilities Fluent written and spoken English & native Spanish LanguageCapable of making decisions, working independently and organizing own workloadHigh self-motivation and ability to work alone, setting sensible priorities, working to tight deadlines, managing conflicting prioritiesA good level of presentation, communication and planning skillsApproachable, flexible, team oriented and self-assertive where requiredAbility to communicate effectively with all levels of managementStrong PC skills (especially MS Office Excel)A good understanding of documentation requirementsEngineering background in telecommunications field will be an advantage (recommended, not mandatory)Strong log analytical skills (recommended, not mandatory)Python language for automation (recommended, not mandatory)Skills and Qualifications Previous experience in mobile field testing and experience in IMS testing such as RCS, VoLTE and 5G are preferredExperience with European telecom operators is preferred
