Your Mission as a Field Civil Work Supervisor As a Field Civil Work Supervisor , your primary mission is to oversee the civil engineering aspects of site preparation for onshore drilling projects.
You will play a critical role in ensuring that all civil works, including access roads, drainage systems, and rig foundations, are completed efficiently, safely, and in compliance with environmental standards.
Your leadership will ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and at the highest quality level, contributing to the overall success of drilling operations.
You will be handling these duties and responsibilities as Field Civil Work Supervisor Supervision and Coordination: Oversee and manage civil works such as grading, drainage, and rig foundation construction.
Coordinate with engineers, contractors, and on-site teams to ensure smooth project execution.
Manage day-to-day activities of the civil works team, ensuring adherence to project timelines and quality standards.
Project Management: Plan, schedule, and monitor all civil engineering tasks for timely project completion within budget constraints.
Review and approve engineering designs, calculations, and shop drawings.
Handle contractor management, including tender evaluations, contract negotiations, and progress monitoring.
Health, Safety, and Environmental Compliance (HSE): Ensure compliance with HSE regulations, including risk assessments and emergency response planning.
Implement and enforce QHSSE systems on-site, conducting regular safety briefings and monitoring protocol adherence.
Quality Assurance: Monitor civil works to ensure compliance with industry standards and project specifications.
Oversee material and resource usage to ensure alignment with approved plans and environmental sustainability.
Reporting and Documentation: Maintain detailed records of all civil works, including progress reports, daily logs, and issue resolutions.
Provide regular updates to the Project Manager and key stakeholders on project status, challenges, and solutions.
Qualifications and Skills that will allow you to thrive as Field Civil Work Supervisor Experience: Extensive years of experience in civil engineering, project management, or construction supervision, focusing on site preparation in the oil and gas industry.
Proven track record in managing civil works in remote or challenging environments (desert, high-pressure areas) is essential.
Experience in supervising projects in oil and gas fields, such as Sharara, Sirt, or similar, is highly desirable.
Educational Level: Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related field (Construction Management, Engineering Technology).
Additional certifications in Project Management (e.g., PMP) or HSE compliance (NEBOSH, OSHA) are highly beneficial.
Skills: Strong leadership and team management abilities, with experience leading multi-disciplinary teams in the field.
Expertise in civil engineering design and project management software, including AutoCAD, MS Project, and PROKON.
In-depth knowledge of HSE regulations, QHSSE systems, and safety protocols for oil and gas site operations.
Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills, with the ability to adapt to changing project demands and environmental conditions.
Certifications: NEBOSH Award in Health and Safety at Work or equivalent certification in safety management.
ISO 9001 14001 Internal Auditor certification or similar is an advantage.
Additional certifications in risk management, firefighting, and first aid are highly desirable.
Additional Information Working Days Hours:  Equal Rotation (4X4).
Location: Jalu, Ubari - Libya.
