CIB ENTITY BNP Paribas Corporate & Institutional Banking provides large companies, multinationals, and financial institutions with various solutions in the areas of advisory, financing, transactional banking, capital markets, settlement, clearing and custody of securities, asset and fund management services and solutions for corporate issuers. It has 620 professionals in Spain with offices in Madrid, Barcelona, Bilbao, and Coruña. The entity has a network present in 56 countries.
AREA The Auditor of the Iberian Peninsula audit Hub is part of Inspection Générale (IG) and carries out audit assignments on all the activities of the Group located either in Spain or in Portugal.
MISSION Carries out audit assignments on all the activities of the Group located either in Spain or in Portugal. The Auditor could also participate in assignments led by either Central IG or other hubs.
RESPONSIBILITIES The Auditor of the Iberian Peninsula audit Hub carries out audit assignments:
To verify the absence of major weaknesses in the internal control system and its consistency in all group entities, as well as the reliability of the financial, operational, and management data;
To examine the appropriateness of the methods and procedures and the efficiency of the management and control processes used within BNP Paribas to verify that the methods used in acquiring, allocating, and preserving the Group's internal resources (human, technological, material, etc.) are cost-effective;
To assess management's ability to assume responsibilities, display leadership qualities, and define management orientations;
To verify the methods used for achieving objectives and for implementing, in optimal conditions, the strategies and action plans defined by the responsible entities in accordance with the general policies of BNP Paribas.
The Auditor of the Iberian Peninsula audit Hub also has to:
Participate in the annual risk assessment exercise by analyzing Audit Units;
Follow up the issued recommendations assigned to him;
Assist in the production of the periodic reporting requested locally or by IG Head office.
REQUIREMENTS
TRAINING: Finance, Law or similar.
EXPERIENCE: Ideally, at least 3 years of experience in a group business line or risk activity.
LANGUAGES: English C1/C2.
SKILLS:
Technical: Good writing skills, Ability to lead interviews, Capacity to analyze and synthesize information.
Transversal & Behavioral: Ability to conduct a negotiation, Attention to detail/rigor, Ability to collaborate/Teamwork.
