.FCAS2024 Electromagnetic Material Engineer A position as Electromagnetic Material Engineer has arisen within Airbus Defence and Space in Getafe (Madrid). The successful applicant will join EME, Antenna Systems and Signatures Engineering SP department. Tasks The candidate will be involved in the development of Low Observable (LO) Solutions to be integrated in aircrafts, covering their complete development cycle since the capture of high level requirements and cascading to lower levels, development of solutions, manufacturing process and performances verification. More specifically, the candidate will be focused on the physical realization of solutions, maturing novel and innovative manufacturing techniques and processes. Required skills As a successful candidate, you will be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience: Degree in Telecommunication Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or Physics with focus on Electromagnetic, High Frequency and Microwave knowledge. Strong background in electromagnetism theory and physics, and more specifically with a deep knowledge of materials performances from the electromagnetic standpoint, understanding the EM material mechanisms. Experience in concept development, design, manufacturing and/or characterization of advanced materials (e.G. artificial/multifunctional/metasurface materials). Knowledge in electronic and/or RF manufacturing techniques: printing, serigraphy, lithography nano and microfabrication, Additive Layer Manufacturing (ALM) or others. Experience in taking direct care of the manufacturing processes (related to achieving electromagnetic responses) or managing suppliers with those manufacturing capabilities. Knowledge of electromagnetic measurements techniques applied to materials and structures, including post-processing using different SW tools like Python. Knowledge about integration at platform level (complete cycle: specification, validation, verification, certification/qualification) of components with electromagnetic requirements with special focus on radar absorbing materials and structures; a multidisciplinary vision and system engineering knowledge are required. Valued experience in using complex and advanced tools for electromagnetic simulation and modelling. CAD management, computational tools and post-processing (CST, FEKO, etc.). Good technical and communications skills, familiar with R&T and R&D projects. Ability to work autonomously as well as being an active part of a team. Ability to overcome difficulties in the development of the projects.
