col-wideJob Description:The succesful applicant will join the Fighter Communications Systems Integration Team in Getafe, Madrid, in order to define and develop with the required holistic view the Communications System Architecture of Combat Aircraft covering the existing and new programmes that have been launched.- Input: Customer needs/requirements, program constraints, regulatory/qualification requirements, technology readiness, engineering capability and capacity.- Output: Review and generation of use cases, operational analysis, technical proposals and decisions for existing and future development programmes covering the Avionics System and in particular the Communications Sub-system.Knowledge and experience in Aircraft Systems Architecture, and in particular Airborne Avionics will be highly valued, specially in HW and SW development for Communications Systems, and associated processes according to aeronautical regulations.Leadership and communications skills are important as the role requires interfaces with the Specialists in other Departments, the Chief Engineering Office, Program Office, Customer and other External Stakeholders from other Companies.**Tasks and Activities**Among other activities tha applicant will have to:- Define ad-hoc development assurance level with regard to development risk- Define system development logic consistent with development assurance level- Elicit and validate system/product requirements whilst considering the complete system lifecycle- Design and define possible architectures considering the functions and other requirements (constraints)- Lead system modelling- Lead analysis (Analysis of characteristics and performance)- Perform trade-off analysis in order to select the best system architecture fulfilling system/product requirements- Validate architecture- Define and manage interfaces requirements- Lead verification of the system/product implementation and its interfaces, on the real or virtual system- Lead operational and in-service evaluation- Lead impact analysis of any design change request during the entire product lifecycle.**Requirements**:- University degree in Aeronautical Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering or Industrial Enineering.- At least 3 to 5 years of experience in systems engineering: ideally with **communication **systems but experience in other related systems as **avionics **is also valid.- Previous experience in Project Management is a plus.- English: Negotiation levelThis job requires an awareness of any potential compliance risks and a commitment to act with integrity, as the foundation for the Company's success, reputation and sustainable growth.**Company**:Airbus Defence and Space SAU**Contract Type**:Permanent Contract / CDI / Unbefristet / Contrato indefinido**Experience Level**:Professional / Expérimenté(e) / Professionell / Profesional**Job Family**:Chief Engineering & ArchitectureAt Airbus, we support you to work, connect and collaborate more easily and flexibly.
