We are seeking an experienced and motivated Farm General Manager to oversee the operations of our sugarcane farm. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of sugarcane cultivation, including planting, irrigation, harvesting, and resource management.
Key Responsibilities: Operational Management:Plan and oversee all phases of sugarcane production, including land preparation, planting, fertilization, irrigation, pest control, and harvesting.Supervise the maintenance and repair of specialized sugarcane farming equipment and infrastructure.Develop and implement efficient irrigation and water management strategies, particularly drip or flood irrigation systems tailored for sugarcane.Financial Management:Create and monitor the farm's budget, ensuring effective cost management.Track production costs, yields, and financial performance, identifying opportunities to improve profitability.Negotiate contracts and pricing with suppliers, buyers, and contractors.Quality Control and Customer Focus:Ensure sugarcane is harvested and processed at the optimal time for maximum yield and quality.Build relationships with mills, processors, and other stakeholders in the sugar supply chain.Qualifications and Skills Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Agribusiness, Agronomy, or a related field (preferred).At least [3-4] years of experience in managing large-scale sugarcane farms or similar agricultural operations.Strong knowledge of sugarcane production techniques, pest/disease management, and irrigation systems.Proven expertise in budgeting, cost control, and financial analysis for farming operations.Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.Ability to work in demanding outdoor conditions and adapt to seasonal challenges.What We Offer Competitive salary and performance-based incentives.Opportunities for career development and access to cutting-edge agricultural technologies.A chance to lead a growing and dynamic operation with a significant impact on the sugar industry.Job Type: Full-time
