Responsibilities:
· Will serve as the expert on semiconductor die construction analysis.
· Responsible for providing support to failure analysts in understanding the different construction layers of various onsemi technologies, use his/her knowledge and skills to develop and optimize delayering strategies and take on challenges to support onsemi FAs goal of successfully identifying the failure mechanism in a timely manner.
· Understanding semiconductor die construction and analysis.
· Perform Physical Failure Analysis (PFA) on units in support of external / internal FA requests.
· Develop/optimize processes for delayering/parallel lapping/deconstruction process per device.
· Perform delayering process of units as required.
· Develop/optimize decapsulation strategies for Image Sensors/Multiple-die products
· Perform decapsulation processes for specialized products.
· Chemical handling will be necessary for delayering/deconstruction analysis.
· Report generation and interaction with external customers and counterparts.
Requirements:
· BS Degree in Chemical Engineering, Material Engineering, Physics, or equivalent degree in Semiconductor Physics.
· Working experience on semiconductor failure analysis environment, product analysis, product design, or equivalent is an advantage.
· Good understanding of semiconductor physics related construction analysis.
· Should be able to understand semiconductor construction and interaction.
· Should be knowledgeable in using various semiconductor analytical tools such as, but not limited to: SEM, EDX, FTIR, Polishing equipment, etc.
· Good communication and interpersonal skills. Will be creating reports and interact with customers and counterparts.
· Can work as an individual with minimum supervision or together with a team to complete assigned tasks.
· Knowledge of semiconductor failure mechanisms and FA tools will be an advantage.
Knowledge of Image Sensor devices will be an advantage.
