Factory Automation Senior Researcher

Main duties:
Be part of the Smart Systems and Smart Manufacturing Unit, within the Research and Development area, with the following task:
R & D projects execution in Industry 4.0.
Education:
Degree in Industrial Engineering.
Master / PhD / Postdoctoral in the field of Computer Science or Industrial Engineering highly valued.
Job specific skills:
Previous experience of at least 4 years in R&D.
Programming in Python and/or C++, C#.
Knowledge of IoT protocols (e.g., OPC UA, MQTT).
Programming in PLC (Siemens, Beckhoff) and field buses.
Knowledge in robotics and user-level management of ABB and/or KUKA, FANUC robots.
Digital twins based on 3D rendering (e.g., Blender, Unity).
Office: high level Word, Excel and Power Point.
English: Advanced (C1/C2) level.
Availability to travel.
Driving Licence and own car.
Desirable qualifications and skills:
Basic knowledge about I4.0: RAMI4.0, IDS.
Information modeling (AutomationML, Asset Administration Shell).
Knowledge about digital platforms/middleware (e.g., BaSyx, Fiware).
Strong technical writing and documentation skills required.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
