.The Supervisor of Facilities is responsible for supervising and coordinating the day-to-day maintenance and repair of buildings, grounds, and associated equipment. Coordinates and oversees the daily activities of the staff in the department who are involved in installation, inspection, repair, and maintenance of the building systems. Aids management and the director with the Environment of Care Committee, Dietary, and Housekeeping.Your every dayResponsible for the efficient expediting of the troubleshooting and repairs which are done by the department:Coordinates the work of all contractors and trades on a project.Supervises emergency and major repair jobs.Supervises Staff and schedules activities for in-house staff and service vendors:Supervises electrical and facilities staff, manages service vendors, and assigns duties to subordinates.Hires and supervises tradesmen during installations, repairs or maintenance (electricians, plumbers etc.).Assists with training of new personnel.Ensures a safe environment during the entire project:Oversees contractor life safety and fire safety inspections for fire suppression and notification equipment.Conducts monthly fire drills per Joint Commission guidelines.Performs random inspections of the equipment to ensure quality and timely completion of preventative maintenance tasks.Performs daily inspections of elevator equipment and coordinates repairs with relevant contractor.Performs annual life safety evaluations. Inspects the facilities periodically to determine problems and necessary maintenance.Inspects and maintains building systems (heating, ventilation etc.).Ensures that regulatory standards and codes are met:Reviews the maintenance software program daily to prioritize and assign work orders, monthly preventative maintenance work orders for the buildings, special systems, and equipment assets.Places orders for service and parts in the relevant system.Documents and distributes related work orders.This job description is intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed by employees assigned to this department.
