Fabrication Yard Maintenance Coordinator - Ambriz Angola

Job Purpose: Working for an Offshore Fabrication Yard with the responsibility for the safe maintenance, repair, or replacement of equipment, systems, or civil works to ensure maximum quality. Initiate, implement, and manage maintenance strategies based on best practices in the industry, with an emphasis on planning/scheduling preventative/reactive maintenance. Establish and maintain a computerized maintenance management system (AMOS) for tracking work orders and maintenance history of equipment. Prepare reports, data, and make recommendations for improving operations and solving maintenance-related problems. Manage a team of in-house and outsourced maintenance personnel and ensure that maintenance contractors are adequately trained, equipped, and motivated so that the maintenance program can be accomplished in a safe, timely, and cost-effective manner. Track, analyze, and improve key maintenance parameters such as asset utilization, maintenance cost, schedule compliance, etc. Plan and finalize a yearly maintenance budget in coordination with the various Operation.

Knowledge Skills & Experience:

Educated university mechanical degree level or equivalent.

A good understanding of property maintenance, methodologies, and processes.

A good communicator, with a track record of well-organized methodical work patterns.

Able to work autonomously and react quickly in high-pressure situations.

Self-starter with the personal drive and motivation to proactively identify issues, progress activities and deliver solutions.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to give clear and precise instruction to third parties.

Excellent English written and verbal communication at all levels is vital to this role.

Strong, rational thinking with a challenging, questioning mind that can view issues as a whole as well as drill down into the final detail.

Ability to work as a team member to deliver objectives on time against tight time pressures.
