The Procurement CMO Category Manager (solids) will report to the Head of Group Procurement CMO, and will be responsible for developing and executing supplier strategy for in-scope vendors; coordinating and leading source-to-contract activities for their own managed categories, contributing to category purchasing budget definition.Key responsibilitiesPerform key activities along the source to-contract value chainSupport Group Procurement Head to develop category strategyCoordinate sourcing activities and engage in tenders/ negotiations with key suppliersIdentify global industry and supplier trends to develop potential global opportunitiesSupport the management of vendor performanceContribute to the definition and collection of procurement KPIs to monitor supplier performanceCollaborate with suppliers to identify improvement initiativesIdentify and assess potential contract manufacturing partners based on technical capabilities, quality standards, and capacityCollaborate with internal stakeholders to define technical specifications, quality standards, and procurement requirementsOwn end-to-end process and management of all contracts under scopeBuild strong commercial relationshipsQualifications, skills and experience requiredBachelor's degree in engineering / technical, or a related fieldMinimum of 10 years' experience in procurement, with a focus on contract manufacturing within the pharmaceutical industry or a relevant commercial role in a contract manufacturing organizationFluent English, both written and spoken.
