As an Accountant in the Global Front Office in Madrid, you are part of the Global Delivery Organization, which is part of the Global Finance Operations organization.
The Global Delivery organization is driving and delivering global efficient and harmonized processes in Purchase To Pay (PTP), Order To Cash (OTC), and General Accounts Receivable (GAR) accounting areas.
The Global Front Office works with judgement-based activities.
The different teams in the Global Finance Operations are responsible for reporting and analyzing the actuals as well as reporting, consolidating, and analyzing forecasts and Business Plans for all financial information including profit, cash flow, balance sheet, investments, and cost control.
The processes for this are developed in close cooperation with the Business controllers in the functions as well as with the Group Finance function.

The Global Front Office is now looking for a Purchase to Pay (PTP) Accountant to support Polestar activities.

In this role, you will be reporting to the PTP Global Front Office Manager.
What you'll doIn this role, you will be the interface and the point of contact between the Business Process Outsourcing delivery team(s) and the Polestar Finance organization.
You will be working with invoice processing, vendor master process, and the approval of invoice payment proposals.
You will also need to solve dealer/supplier-related issues and analyze overdue invoices.
Accounts Payable (AP) related management reporting and corresponding internal controls are also within the scope of the role.
In addition to this, you are responsible for follow-up inquiries and perform timely escalation to applicable parties for a swift resolution.
You will need to ensure all payments are integrated into Accounts Payable and processed through the system having adhered to the PTP process.
Furthermore, you will be responsible for reconciling AP accounts and developing and maintaining strong relationships and effective working environments with all the departments across the AP business.
You will conduct weekly meetings with the PTP team to know the progress and pending issues and create/update DTPs.
You will act as the first level escalation contact or as escalation manager depending on the situation.
In this role, you will help lead the AP process forward.
You will also monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) as well as monitoring rule-based activities performed by the offshore Shared Service Center (SSC).
Who are youWe believe that you have a university degree in Finance or equivalent.
We see that you have at least 3 years of experience in finance or a related field.
In addition to this, you will also need to have at least 2 years of solid experience within the PTP/AP field and be an experienced accountant.
For this role, you need to be fluent in English both verbally and written.
You'll need to be a great communicator with excellent cooperation skills.
We see that you have an ability to plan and prioritize with a flexible and positive mindset.
You'll actively take part in projects, both big and small.
Furthermore, you are service-minded and curious.
You have high integrity regarding your work, great analytical skills, and an ability to meet deadlines.
