We are looking for an External Line Design Manager to lead the design and technical support for external line projects.
You'll be involved in the bidding process for ODN projects and will deliver design solutions that meet customer requirements.
Your role includes completing technical solutions and low-level designs (LLD) based on client standards, managing subcontractors for surveys and design work, and preparing necessary GBOMs and pricing assumptions.
You'll also select general products and engineering materials for ODN.
Key Responsibilities Design and provide technical support for external line projects.
Assist in the bidding process for ODN projects by delivering effective design solutions.
Develop complete ODN technical solutions and low-level designs (LLD) based on client requirements and standards.
Organize and oversee subcontractors for external line surveys and design tasks.
Prepare GBOMs and pricing assumptions based on preliminary design specifications.
Select appropriate general products and engineering materials for ODN projects.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design alignment with project goals.
Maintain communication with clients and stakeholders to address any design-related inquiries or issues.
Essential Qualifications and Skills Education: Bachelor's degree or higher from a top university.
Experience: Solid background in surveying and designing external line projects, especially with fiber optic cables and ODN products.
Technical Skills: Can independently manage surveys and designs for external lines.
Proficient in using design software like Google Earth and AutoCAD.
Communication: Good English skills (CET-4 or higher) with strong reading, listening, and speaking abilities.
Able to explain technical ideas clearly to others.
Teamwork: Great at collaborating with others and working in a team.
Strong problem-solving skills and adaptable to changes.
Travel: Open to international travel for long periods (7-8 months a year).
