We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Medical Expert to join our dynamic Health team at Allianz.The Medical Expert will play a crucial role in product development, define & manage underwriting policy (establishing criteria, managing exceptions, assessing pre-existence) providing medical support for product design, overseeing third-party operations, and handling all medical topics within the health insurance domain.What are you going to do in Allianz?Collaborate with health product managers in market analysis, product development, and launch of new products.Provide medical criteria for product coverages (e.g., medical techniques and services, medical coverages update, medical cost analysis).Collaborate with the Technical area for cost and pricing analysis.Medical assessment for UnderwritingDefine standard underwriting guidelines and establish underwriting criteria based on medical assessments.Responsible for analyzing and managing exceptions and pre-existing conditions to standard underwriting guidelines.Collaborate with underwriting teams to ensure accurate risk evaluation and determine impact on coverage.Provide recommendations for complex or atypical cases.Third Party Providers' Management:Oversee and manage day-to-day health-related services for policyholders.Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure effective operations.Collaborate with Operations area for providers management & cost analysis and control.Medical Incidence Handling:Investigate and assess complex medical incidences reported by policyholders.Provide expert guidance on the resolution of medical issues.Collaboration and Communication:Collaborate with cross-functional teams including underwriting, claims, product development, and customer & marketing.Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and external partners.What does Allianz need from you?Medical degree from an accredited institution.At least 5 years of experience in medical underwriting or a related field.Strong understanding of insurance industry practices and regulations.Excellent analytical and decision-making skills.Ability to communicate complex medical concepts to non-medical stakeholders.Deep medical expertise, ideally in an insurance company or similar.High level of energy.Analytical thinking and problem-solving.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Attention to detail and accuracy.Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.What does Allianz offer you?A hybrid working model.Offices that adapt to your needs, with a smart working model and collaborative spaces.Flexible hours so that you can have a good balance between your personal and work life.Specific training in your field of activity and You Learn We Pay program.Multiple employee discounts in sports centers - mens sana in corpore sano.Financial compensation for lunch and teleworking expenses.Special prices in our insurance products for you and your family.Many more benefits...Did you know that we have additional benefits for employees with disabilities and/or those who have an immediate family member with a disability?
