Experienced Technician for RESONATE Project The Barcelona Institute for Global Health (ISGlobal) is a cutting-edge institute addressing global public health challenges through research, translation into policy and education. ISGlobal has a broad portfolio in communicable and non-communicable diseases including environmental and climate determinants, and applies a multidisciplinary scientific approach ranging from the molecular to the population level. Research is organized in the following main areas, Malaria and other Infectious Diseases, Maternal, Child and reproductive Health, Urban Health and Child and environmental health, Climate & Non-Communicable Diseases. ISGlobal is accredited with the Severo Ochoa distinction, a seal of excellence of the Spanish Science Ministry.Lugar Barcelona, Campus Mar ISGlobal is seeking a highly motivated and experienced technician for a part-time, temporary engagement in the EC funded RESONATE project ("Building individual and community RESilience thrOugh NATurE-based therapies"). The successful candidate will be exposed to a network of Europe's most prominent researchers in the field of associations between nature and human health. The candidate should have a genuine interest in the topic of Nature based Therapies (NbT) and have an interdisciplinary mindset.KEY RESPONSABILITIESFieldwork and data collection: physiological and anthropometric measurements, saliva samples, validated questionnaires, and semi-structured interviews. The work will be conducted as a team with at least one senior researcher who will supervise and guide the work.Ensure coordination within the fieldwork technicians' team.Support nature-based walking therapy sessions in urban coastal settings in Barcelona and/or metropolitan area when required. The work will be conducted with a mindfulness professional.Support all aspects of the research project.Work with the project coordinator to ensure timely accomplishment of project´s objectives and deliverables.SPECIFIC DUTIESWork closely with supervisor and team leader.Contact health care centres and assist with recruitment.Data collection and storage.Assist in data analysis and presentation of results.Assist in literature searches and compilation of reports.Ensure coordination with the management and maintenance of measurement instruments and related fieldwork material (e.g., heart rate bands).Provide general administrative support including scheduling and preparation of events and meetings.Attend meetings with project partners including taking of meeting minutes.TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONSUndergraduate degree in environmental or biological sciences is preferred.Experience (at least 2 years) in developing fieldwork, fieldwork coordination support, data collection and descriptive analysis.Experience with questionnaire administration.Experience with participatory processes and qualitative methods will be an asset.Experience with the RedCap platform will be an asset.SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTSAbility to work independently and as a team member.Flexibility.Good level of Spanish, Catalan, and English are required.Quantitative data management and analysis skills are highly valued.Proficient in Microsoft Office software.SKILLSTeamwork.Problem resolution.Excellent learning capacity.Excellent organisational skills.Meticulous attention to detail.Excellent spoken and written skills in Spanish and/or Catalan.Good level of English is required.CONDITIONSDuration: 10 months.Contract: Part-time (25%).Salary Range: Based on professional experience.HOW TO APPLYApplicants must fill in the request form and include the following code reference position: Technician_Exp_RESONATE_Sept24, attach the CV and a Cover Letter.
