About the location:
The Four Seasons Resort Mallorca is perched on the spectacular Formentor Peninsula and backed by panoramic vistas of the Mediterranean and the surrounding landscapes. The hotel was originally opened in 1929 within an expansive private estate and is currently undergoing restoration and renovation, scheduled to open in June 2024.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee all stewarding operations, ensuring cleanliness and organization in the kitchen and service areas.
Manage the inventory and control of kitchen equipment, supplies, and chemicals.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards.
Lead, train, and supervise the stewarding team to maintain efficient operations.
Coordinate with culinary and service teams to ensure smooth flow of operations and support during service periods.
Our Ideal Executive Steward candidate will have:
Strong leadership skills: Ability to lead and manage a large team, ensuring effective communication, task delegation, and performance management.
Organizational expertise: Capable of maintaining cleanliness, organization, and inventory control in kitchen and service areas, ensuring compliance with hygiene standards.
Experience in a luxury or high-volume hospitality environment: Previous experience in managing stewarding operations in a high-end hotel or resort setting.
Budgeting and cost control: Strong understanding of budget management, cost control for equipment, and managing supply inventory.
Attention to detail: Keen eye for ensuring equipment and kitchen areas are kept in pristine condition and all health and safety protocols are strictly followed.
Problem-solving skills: Ability to handle day-to-day operational challenges and quickly resolve issues related to staff, equipment, or kitchen cleanliness.
Teamwork: Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with other departments like culinary, housekeeping, and F&B to ensure smooth service delivery.
Technical knowledge: Familiarity with the operation and maintenance of kitchen equipment, sanitation techniques, and waste management systems.
