Under the guidance of the Director of Culinary, you will:Coordinate and direct all aspects of the Pastry & Bakery department operation and collaborate with the Food and Beverage team and all necessary stakeholders to achieve marketing and business goals and objectives.Use your Pastry expertise and skill to ensure our Pastry kitchen continues to excel in producing the most creative, innovative and inspirational items.Bring delicious, creative and bespoke flavors and creations to our guests' tables, running a section in our busy Pastry kitchen.Ensure our operation runs smoothly, orders and deliveries are coming and going as needed, our service is smooth, and our food hygiene standards are high.Support our Director of Culinary and Executive chef on ideas and techniques that make our Pastry kitchen a creative, ever-changing environment.Nurture and develop the talent of the Pastry kitchen and wider team, creating an environment that brings out the best in them.Produce all food items required for the assigned kitchens including Banquets, Restaurants, etc.Control the ordering and requisitions to achieve budgeted costs.Work closely with other departments such as Sales & Marketing or Retail Merchandising to conceptualize and implement dynamic marketing programmes for the pastry.QualificationsWhat we are looking for:Previous experience in a fast-moving, quality driven culinary team, as either an Executive Pastry Chef or Pastry Sous Chef.Passion for Pastry is a given; you've worked hard to perfect your craft and you have a huge appetite to continue learning from the best in the business.Ability to positively impact the people you interact with, leaving them with a memorable experience.Strong organization and attention to detail.Willingness to collaborate and help get tasks done.Desire to be part of a team that works hard, supports each other, and has fun
