Job Description

Summary of Responsibilities: Assign sufficient manning to cater for daily operational needsPlanning of VIP arrivals and departures and ensuring operational efficiencyDevelop and maintain strong guest relationships to ensure guest loyaltyHandle guest issues when neededMeet, greet, rooming and service of all VIP guestsPlan and review rosters to ensure productivity goals are metEnsure LQA service standards are in practice as set by the hotel at all timesConduct audit checks on colleague's service standards and ensure compliance with hotel standardsEnsure operations are in order, guests assistance required is rendered accordingly and colleague's service standards are metConsistentlyoffer professional, engaging and friendly serviceLead a Heartist approach to guest experience/service with the teamResponsible for all aspects of Guest Service and Guest Satisfaction that are generated and maintained in Fairmont Gold LoungeMonitor maintenance and development of the physical Fairmont Gold productFacilitate preventive maintenance program with housekeeping and engineeringDaily compliance on hygiene and safety standards based on HACCP standards and ensure all checks and documentation are accurately recorded on a timely basisCoordinate and lead the team on internal hygiene audits with Hygiene and Safety department personnel on a weekly basisCoordinate and lead the team in the yearly Haccp audit and ensure compliance and pass auditWork with the Revenue Manager, Reservations Manager, Sales Manager and Front Office Manager to ensure strategies are in place to maximize revenue opportunitiesTrack and Forecast daily, weekly and monthly Fairmont Gold occupancy levels and plan accordinglyPlanning, reviewing, training, monitoring, evaluation and counseling of employeesHandling and investigation of guest requests/complaintsCounseling and disciplinary action for colleagues non-compliance with procedures and behaviorAttend any department and operational meetingsEnsuregrooming standard set by the hotel at all timesEnsure work areas are adequately stocked and inventory properly recordedEnsure department compliance with safety and security procedures at all times Qualifications

Qualifications Minimum 4 years of luxury hotel experience, preferably in Front OfficeRead write and speak English fluentlyPossess good guest relations skills, confident, clearEnglishOutstanding guest interaction, interpersonal and communication skillsMust have a friendly and engaging service attitudeGood decision making skillsKnowledge of Opera system and other related sub-systems interfaced to the hotel's computer systemProven ability to guide and coach team membersFocused on customer service, detail oriented in training, development and performance managementResponsive to continuous challenges and open to making changes to achieve targeted results
