Job DescriptionWhat you'll do
We are looking for an experienced Executive Chef to join the pre-opening team at SLS Barcelona. Under the guidance of the Director of Culinary, you will:
Bring delicious flavors to our guests' tables by managing our busy kitchen.Create, execute, and produce top-notch food with a constant eye on the highest quality standards, presentation, and flavor, with an eye on industry trends and neighborhood demands.Ensure statutory compliance in all food and drink related areas.Keep well-organized storerooms and inventories that allow for a smooth-running kitchen.Nurture and develop the talent of the kitchen team, creating an environment that brings out the best in them.Ensure smooth operations, timely orders and deliveries, and high food hygiene standards.Work with our Culinary Director on ideas and techniques that make our kitchen a creative, ever-changing environment.Qualifications What we are looking for... 2+ years' experience as an Executive Chef or Executive Sous Chef in a busy environment focused on freshness and provenance of ingredients.Proven track record managing multi outlet projects with different points of sales.Experience with HACCP protocols and cost control.Experience in leading multicultural teams and knowledge of different types of cuisine.Experience in handling a busy banqueting operation within a multi-space operation.A natural leader who creates an environment for the team to excel.Passion for food and a love for our particular flavors.Value learning and development, aiming to create the best food.Positive impact on people, leaving them with memorable experiences.Methodical and process-driven, able to work flexibly to meet deadlines.Ability to take ownership of issues, solve problems, and make effective decisions.Collaborative approach to achieve the highest standards.Open to trying new things and being part of a supportive team.Additional Information What's in it for you...
