Job SummaryThe Executive Chef will be in charge of leading several hotels located in Barcelona (Melia Barcelona Sky, Melia Barcelona Sarria, Apolo, Condal Mar, Aeropuerto affiliated by Melia), reporting hierarchically to the Director of Operations of the Center and functionally to the Corporate F&B area. He/She/They will be responsible for the implementation of strategy, standards, attributes, products, and optimization of operational efficiency in the kitchen area for hotels under their responsibility in the Operations Centers.
What will I be doing?You will collaborate in the creation of the budget together with the Director of Operations and Business Partner of the Operations Center and ensure compliance with the KPIs established therein.You will participate in the improvement of income in the F&B area, such as F&B income, direct cost control, waste control (food waste), reduction of personnel costs, reduction of energy consumption, and savings in investment in kitchens.You will implement projects, programs, tools, and processes for all of your hotels, ensuring the proper use and training of teams.You will be in charge of the communication of notable events and news of your hotels.At the HR level, you will plan schedules, roles of breaks, and vacations, identify and propose people with Talent for Development plans, and participate in team selection together with HR.In terms of food safety, you will attend hygienic-sanitary audits and develop and implement action plans for any incidents.All with the focus and sole purpose of guaranteeing the correct and successful operation of the hotels under your responsibility.
