As the Principal Engineer, you will play a key role in leading and managing large equipment technology projects at Johnson & Johnson Vision. Your expertise and leadership will be essential in all stages of the project lifecycle, from planning and implementation to monitoring and completion. You will work closely with diverse teams to create innovative equipment automation solutions that will have a significant impact on eye health.
Responsibilities:Propose, assess, plan, implement, monitor, and close large equipment technology projects across Johnson & Johnson Vision.Perform design tasks, including development of requirements, system specifications, qualifications protocol generation, protocol execution, technical instructions, training, and protocol/test execution reports.Participate in the review, negotiation, and vigilance of support service contracts and vendor commitments.Compose and complete validation test plans to ensure flawless performance of equipment.Tackle equipment application challenges and provide innovative solutions.Provide expert recommendations in the areas of safety, quality, equipment effectiveness, equipment function, and equipment reliability.Lead equipment commissioning testing activities to ensure successful implementation.Experience training technical team members.In addition to the above responsibilities, you will have the opportunity to train and mentor technical team members, sharing your knowledge and expertise to foster a collaborative work environment where individuals are motivated to continuously improve their skills and contribute to team success.
Qualifications:Required: A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or other Engineering fields.A minimum of 10 years of experience working in engineering roles.A minimum of 5 years of experience delivering automation solutions.Experience specifying, debugging, commissioning, and qualifying systems with advanced automation, with a minimum of 5 years of experience.Willingness to travel up to 20% both domestically and internationally.Preferred: Experience working in Medical Devices, Pharmaceutical, or other regulated industries is preferred.Proficient in statistical analysis to ensure data-driven decision-making.Experience working collaboratively in a team environment.
