We're looking for experienced Scala developers to join our team at Valsea IT. We're a diverse team with great people from across the world. We're now hiring people to work on-site in our cool office in Marbella, where we enjoy regular meet-ups and events. (Hybrid and remote options are also available.)

What we have : We have an amazing office in sunny Marbella, free breakfast and snacks, gym, and F1 simulators. Our team consists of more than 10 nationalities, and it is made up of a hybrid colocated/distributed group of software engineers, working closely with the product team. Within that, we have a variety of cross-functional product teams that own different parts of the customer journey. We work in an agile environment, we talk via Slack and Google Meet, our code lives in GitHub, and we deploy to AWS and Netlify.
What we require from you :
Good command of spoken and written English - our chosen language of communication
Extensive experience with Scala
Experience with GraphQL & GRPC
Experience with JSON RESTful APIs
Experience with Event Sourcing and CQRS patterns
Experience with NoSQL databases, especially Cassandra.
Things you'll do :
Write efficient, reliable, robust, well-tested code
Build fast and resilient micro-services
Work independently and with high autonomy within our teams
Contribute to specification, design, build and test phases of development
Learn new things and help us learn new things too
What we would like to see :
Experience with Kafka and Elasticsearch
Appreciation for both developing high-quality software and delivering value to users quickly
Experience with Docker, part of our internal tooling stack
Type S(tartup) personality: smart, ethical, friendly, hard-working and proactive
