As part of the EMEA sales organization and reporting to the EMEA Sales Manager Performance Coatings, you will be responsible for implementing the growth strategy for our Performance Coatings Group by directing and planning the sales activities of the company through distributors. This will include the implementation and usage of Lubrizol tools to help with opportunity and planning activities. Negotiating and renewing contracts on a regular basis, as well as maintaining or revising our chosen routes to market, are part of this role. The position will be home office-based in a European country.
Major Activities and Principal Responsibilities:Responsible for aligning strategic direction and all necessary commercial support to distributors and agents in the territory; initiate commercial and technical discussions to confirm customers' needs and propose value selling solutions.Ownership of the opportunity pipeline through distributors.Accelerate a mindset change from product sales to solution provider.Identify gaps and be part of the solution.Implement the use of Lubrizol tools where required.Develop and maintain relationships with all customers in scope of responsibility.Develop and implement Key Account plans.Work closely and share information with Marketing and Sales colleagues to achieve company objectives.Develop a good understanding of competition and market dynamics.Excellent communication skills required aligned with a "Can do" attitude.Build strong networks with internal teams; Marketing, Supply Chain, Customer Service, and others as needed to achieve company objectives.Required Skills, Qualifications, and Experience:Bachelor's degree (BA or BS in Marketing, Business, Chemistry, or Chemical Engineering), MBA is a plus.5-7 years of chemical industry experience in similar sales functions in an international environment, preferably within the coating industry.Strong understanding of current chemical portfolio.Results-oriented, strategic thinking, and strong commercial mindset.Excellent communication skills required allied with self-motivation and a "can do" attitude.Ability to connect with internal and external customers at all organizational levels and diverse cultural backgrounds.Fluent in English (written and verbal), another European language is considered a plus.Willingness to travel (50% +).We Offer:An interesting opportunity to shape our Distribution Management in the EMEA region.Develop your professional career in a highly respected, industry-leading, multinational company which is part of the Berkshire Hathaway group.Job Segment: Marketing Manager, Supply Chain Manager, Chemical Engineer, Supply Chain, Coating, Marketing, Operations, Engineering, Manufacturing
