We are looking for a Business Administration and Accounting graduate with several years of experience in the financial field to join us as Sr Accountant Controller in Barcelona.
THE JOURNEY Review the local Financial Statements of the subsidiaries from the region of which you will be the accounting supervisor, reporting to our Global Lead of Financial Statements and Accounting BPM.
Oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual local closing process.
Maintain very fluid communication with the supervised subsidiaries and be the main gateway between Accounting HQ and Local Accounting.
Track and analyze Financial Statements, detecting issues and proposing improvements to the local team to ensure the complete accuracy of the figures once HQ receives the final version to consolidate them at Group level.
Assist with external audits.
Support local accounting teams in cross accounting projects led from HQ, such as IFRS implementation, ERP implementations, Reporting package implementation, etc.
What You Will Bring To The Ride Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Accounting required; Master's degree is a plus.
3+ years of audit and 2+ years of company experience.
A combination of national and international exposure is a plus.
Preferably Big Four background.
A strong technical knowledge of accounting and compliance issues.
Knowledge of the digital industry is a plus.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Experience using Navision and SAP S4/HANA is a plus.
Ability to stay organized in a fast-paced environment, prioritize multiple projects, meet all deadlines, and be dependable with a sense of personal responsibility for quality work product.

Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
