The EIT Higher Education Institutions (HEI) Initiative is looking for evaluators for its latest Call for Proposals.
The EIT HEI Initiative is a joint EIT Community activity coordinated by EIT RawMaterials.
The Initiative aims to support innovation capacity building, with a primary focus on Higher Education Institutions.
To date, the EIT HEI Initiative's Call for Proposals have achieved significant milestones: 65 projects involving 359 HEIs and over 380 non-academic organizations from 42 countries, more than 40,000 participants trained, and over 1,100 startups and scaleups supported.
The current Call for Proposals 2024 aims to fund up to 42 projects, with each selected project having a total duration of 25 months and an overall budget of EUR 1.34 million.
The call will incorporate a two-strand approach, where applicants will need to select one of the following strands to apply to: Strand A : Innovation and entrepreneurship capacity building at higher education institutions (HEIs).
Strand B: Innovation and entrepreneurship capacity building at HEIs for the enhancement of Deep Tech.
The EIT HEI Initiative is looking for evaluators specifically for applications in Strand A .
To apply, you must possess expertise in innovation and entrepreneurship, as well as in capacity building within these fields.
You should also have significant experience in fostering entrepreneurial ecosystems and supporting the development of innovation strategies at Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) or within the industry.
Furthermore, applicants should be aware of the following criteria before applying: Evaluators can be of any nationality/citizenship Experience with EU-funded projects will be considered an asset Proven capacity to work in English is mandatory Previous experience as a rapporteur for evaluations will be considered an asset for those applicants who wish to apply to be rapporteurs The assignment will take place between December 2024 and February 2025.

Submission of a completed application form does not guarantee you will be selected for assignment but will enter you into the evaluator pool.
The Expression of Interest will be valid for three years.
