Job Purpose: The Senior European Business Development role is responsible for translating vendor/technology growth plans internally and to drive them in specific strategic segments.
Aligned with marketing on MDF and with the wider sales organization on specialized opportunities in Value GCC vendors.
This is a full European role.
Accountabilities: The main accountabilities for this role consist of:
Being seen as a consulting trusted advisor in helping the customer to set strategic business objectives.Optimizing results by driving sales out of agreed vendor portfolio including new vendor identification, on-boarding and other business development initiatives.Grow profitable market share by executing the Business Unit strategy in full alignment under general managerial direction.Driving overall vendor management.Negotiation of key tenders and large deals with in-depth technology distribution industry knowledge and understanding of hardware, software, services and solutions.Orchestrating board level engagement activity that clearly addresses overall business objectives and multiple objectives.Creating high impact value propositions for 'C' level discussions and decision making processes.Taking solution and service offerings to market including TaaS.Ownership of quarterly vendor business planning and execution.Enable and help the sales teams to win and grow share of wallet and market share.Full knowledge of assigned Vendor's product/service line.Knowledge Skills and Experience: We are looking for someone who has strong communication skills, both oral and written, who is able to articulate, persuade, and influence favorable business outcomes in 'C' level scenarios.
The ideal collaborator needs to have 10+ years of experience in the IT industry with channel and/or enterprise vendors at a business development level, ideally from a sales or product marketing background.
A strategic planning and business case development mindset with a strong orientation towards and experience in services and solution selling.
Experience of working within a matrix structure, in-depth technology distribution industry knowledge and understanding of hardware, software, services and solutions.
Languages required: English (High level) and other EU languages (A plus).
