The opportunity We are creating a new position as Product Manager for Europe Professional Indemnity based in any of our European offices. This is an exciting opportunity to play an active role in shaping and supporting the strategy development of our Professional Indemnity (PI) Branch.
Your new role UW Strategy and Business Plan Lead and execute PI underwriting strategy across Europe and ensure the delivery of the PI annual business plan. Responsible for the PI P&L across Europe, driving and shaping the PI portfolio. Ensure team awareness of strategic direction of the PI portfolio. Recommend, implement, and manage resources needed to deliver the PI plan effectively. Portfolio Management, Performance and Reporting Develop the PI portfolio in line with plan and strategy across Europe. Oversee review and analysis of the PI portfolio, monitoring and reporting on progress against the business plan. Work closely with Insurance Operations to ensure accurate recording and measurement of insurance risks. Recommend systems and reports to manage the book of business efficiently. Technical Expertise Act as technical PI leader for Europe and first point of referral for complex cases. Ensure sound underwriting decisions within the product portfolio. Contribute to aggregate management and peer review processes. Reinsurance Understand and comply with reinsurance requirements. Manage the effective purchase of facultative reinsurance across Europe for PI. Compliance Accountable for compliance with QBE EO's underwriting framework. Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements. Stakeholder Management Establish strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners. Represent QBE's interests in industry forums. People Lead the UW Community for PI across Europe. Motivate and develop the team to support business goals. About you Experience in PI Underwriting. Strong leadership skills. Ability to manage relationships at senior executive levels. Strategic thinking and analytical skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Why QBE?
