European Productivity & Continuous Improvement Specialist Job Description Nippon Gases is one of the leading companies in the industrial and medical gases business in Europe. We are looking for a dynamic and skilled European Productivity & Continuous Improvement Specialist to join our team in Madrid, reporting to the European Senior Manager Cost Reduction & Efficiency. This role focuses on identifying operational process improvements to boost efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance customer satisfaction. The final candidate will work on increasing the timely management, execution and performance of Bulk Cost Reduction Projects and expand the efficiency process knowledge together with the associated improvements across the organization. His main goal will be to improve the output of our plants in a safe and reliable way.
Key Responsibilities: Lead and facilitate process improvement projects. Conduct root cause analysis to troubleshoot process issues and improve material flow. Evaluate CapEX and initiate component sizing and quotation processes. Develop and follow up on project plans. Update P&ID in CAD and manage field projects (25% travel within Europe). Prepare presentations and assist in subsidy requests. Manage multidisciplinary teams effectively. Collect and analyze advanced data for process mapping, budgeting, and feasibility analysis. Conduct audits, program evaluations, and reviews to ensure sustainable change. Job Requirements: Engineering degree (Mechanical or Chemical) or equivalent. Exceptional communication and problem-solving skills. Strong leadership capabilities with experience in unionized environments. Proficiency in Autocad 2D/3D and Microsoft Office Suite (Project, Visio, Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Fluent in English and native Spanish; knowledge of another European language is a plus. Experience in equipment design, data sheet development, and P&ID updates. International working experience. Knowledge of fabrication codes (ASME, PED) and cryogenics basics.
