Eu - Lead Devops Engineer – Remote

At the Whiteam, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead DevOps Engineer with a minimum of 8 years of experience to join our dynamic team. This role is essential for managing and optimizing our infrastructure and deployment processes. The ideal candidate will have a deep technical understanding and hands-on experience in system engineering, automation, and CI/CD pipelines, and will be capable of leading a team of DevOps professionals.
Candidates location: Spain and Portugal
Service Delivery Mode: 99.9% Remote (Commitment to come to the office if requested, very low frequency)
Key Responsibilities: Lead the DevOps team in managing and optimizing Linux OS environments at a TB/TAB level.
Implement and manage configuration management tools such as Puppet/Foreman.
Utilize Ansible and Terraform for automation and infrastructure as code.
Develop and maintain Azure DevOps pipelines to ensure seamless automated deployments.
Transition and manage our infrastructure towards a PaaS environment using Kubernetes (k3s/Rancher).
Set up and maintain monitoring solutions using Grafana and Prometheus, and have knowledge of other monitoring tools.
Use Jira and Confluence for project management and documentation.
Requirements: Minimum 8 years of experience in DevOps or related fields.
Extensive knowledge of Linux management at the OS level.
Proficiency in Puppet/Foreman is crucial.
Experience with Ansible and Terraform.
Strong background in setting up and managing Azure DevOps pipelines.
Hands-on experience with Kubernetes (k3s/Rancher) and transitioning to a PaaS environment.
Expertise in monitoring tools such as Grafana and Prometheus.
Familiarity with Jira and Confluence.
Proven ability to understand and manage the entire DevOps landscape quickly.
Strong technical leadership skills, with the ability to lead and mentor a team.
A passion for going in-depth and technically understanding the whole playing field.
