Role description: We are looking for a Health and Safety Specialist to join our QSHE team in Madrid (ES).
Our ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3-4 years of experience in similar roles in specific industrial and construction sites/environments (experience in soil remediation projects is highly valued).
This position also requires a strong understanding of the risks associated with these types of projects, as well as the ability to effectively manage safety in field and /industrial construction environments.
This position requires availability for travel (approx.
30% of the time) and a valid driver's license.
Responsibilities: As part of the QHSE team, you will be dedicated to ensuring safety, health, and well-being in both Spain and Portugal.
Providing support in all required activities within this scope, meeting both regional and global Arcadis requirements.
Performance risk assessments: Identifying potential hazards in different types of projects carried out by Arcadis, aiming to prevent possible occupational risks.
Development and implementation personalized safety and health protocols: Creating specific procedures tailored to each phase of the projects to ensure the protection and well-being of all involved in the work activities.
Supervision compliance with safety regulations: Ensuring that all safety regulations and standards are met in workplaces, guaranteeing a safe and healthy work environment.
Collaboration with project teams: Close collaboration with project teams is necessary to ensure the proper integration of safety and health processes in all project phases.
Training in Safety and Health: Providing training and education to employees on safety and health issues as per identified needs and applicable requirements, aiming to promote a culture of prevention and well-being in the workplace.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Industrial Safety, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
A Master's degree in Occupational Risk Prevention is also required.
Demonstrated experience of 3-4 years in safety and health.
The candidate must show previous experience in industrial or construction sector.
Preferably in soil remediation projects industrial projects.
High level of English and Spanish.
Specific courses and training in the field of Occupational Risk Prevention and environmental studies will be valued.
Training or knowledge in ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards, as well as Carbon Footprint calculation, will be appreciated.
